The role

The role will encompass both non-contentious and contentious work with links to the firm’s corporate, finance and real estate teams, amongst others, providing advice to all stakeholders in stressed and distressed situations including lenders, investors, corporates, directors and individuals, in addition to acting for insolvency practitioners.

You should show evidence of understanding what is needed to help grow and develop a restructuring practice and be willing to initiate and participate in marketing and business development activities.

Experience required

  • We are seeking an experienced solicitor to join the team.    
  • Candidates should have between 3 – 5 years PQE and both a solid and thorough grounding in Insolvency / Restructuring matters gained at a well respected firm, acting for insolvency practitioners, lenders and other stakeholders with exposure to administration business and asset sales, security reviews and enforcements, amongst other things.
  • In the position you will work with minimum supervision, interacting with clients both face to face and in writing.
  • It is paramount that you have an interest in business development as this is a crucial part to this client facing role.
  • The individual will have excellent academics and the desire to be part of a successful department.
  • Whilst the individual will be predominantly based in Reading, the individual will be part of a cross-office Restructuring & Insolvency team and must therefore be prepared to travel to London and Southampton when required.
