Unique Skills: Denise is an insolvency lawyer dealing with all aspects of corporate and individual insolvency including business sales, actions to recover assets for the benefit of creditors, advising financiers, actions against directors and advising directors upon duties and potential exposure to claims.
Denise was seconded to the Pensions Regulator from March 2007 to October 2007 and returned to the Pensions Regulator for five months in January 2008 as a consultant, dealing with clearance applications, working alongside the PPF and advising upon insolvency issues.
Denise now uses her experience in both insolvency and pensions regulation to advise corporates with defined benefit pension schemes and trustees upon “moral hazard” aspects of corporate transactions and clearance.
Specialist Interests: Formerly: Trained and graduated in Staffordshire, moved to Hammonds in 2001. Joined Pitmans in 2011.
