Matt specialises in all aspects of family law, including divorce, matrimonial finances and children matters. He represents clients in divorce and matrimonial financial proceedings ranging from small money cases to high net worth individuals.
Matt has advised and represented clients in both Family Court and High Court proceedings, concerning contact disputes, residency of a child, leave to remove a child from the jurisdiction and relocation cases both within England and Wales and internationally.
Matt also specialises in Trust of Land Claims, which concern disputes as to the ownership of a property. Matt has acted in both low and high value cases in the County Court as well as the High Court.
Matt prepares pre-nuptial agreements/post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements for the prevention of future disputes. Matt has prepared agreements in complex cases involving business interests and international elements.
In each case Matt provides ‘straight talking’ legal advice and recognises the needs of each individual client.
Matt was also formerly the Vice Chairman of the Thames Valley Family Lawyers Society.
Graduated in Law from Southampton University and subsequently attained a Distinction from the College of Law. Trained at Pitmans LLP before qualifying into the Matrimonial department. Joined Pitmans LLP in 2009.
