Marie advises on a range of commercial issues including reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad scope of documentation such as terms of business, letters of intent, confidentiality agreements, contracts for the provision of goods and/or services, master service agreements, framework agreements and retail agreements.
Marie’s specialism is in the telecommunications and IT sector, advising on agreement modelling and contractual arrangements. She has experience in advising on procurement as well as compliance matters. Her style of advising is both pragmatic and commercial.
Marie acts for a wide variety of businesses ranging from start-ups to large companies across a broad spectrum of sectors.
Prior to joining Pitmans in June 2016, Marie spent 3 years acting as sole commercial in-house legal adviser for a joint venture company between Vodafone and Telefónica (O2). Before joining the UK, Marie spent 3 years acting as an in-house counsel for Telefónica in Madrid.
Marie is multilingual (written & spoken) in French (native), English, Spanish and Dutch.
Marie qualified in 2010 in European Law at the University of Carlos III in Madrid (Spain) with First Class Honours.
Previously, she completed a Masters Degree in European Studies at the University of Leuven (Belgium).
Marie started a diploma conversion to English law in 2014 and completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) in June 2016 with Commendation. Marie is now completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Westminster.
Marie was a passionate horse-rider for more than 20 years. She now enjoys running as well as yoga and Pilates.
