Restructuring and Insolvency
Lydia's work includes acting for insolvency practitioners, companies, directors and private individuals on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. This has included issues arising in respect of liquidations, administrations and bankruptcies, including claims relating to preferences, misfeasance and transactions at an undervalue, retention of title claims and acting in respect of bankruptcy possession and sale proceedings.
Lydia also deals with a broad variety of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes and negligence claims, acting on behalf of both companies and individuals. This has included work in respect of freezing injunctions and company director disqualification proceedings.
Lydia initially studied architecture and worked in an architects’ office before returning to university to study law. She completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford.
Lydia trained at Boyes Turner LLP and joined Pitmans LLP once qualified in January 2017.
